from 27 reviewsI have always used aloe vera as an after sun product. I prefer this as it is not as sticky and it smells much better. This goes on nicely and offers relief almost instantaneously. I understand that it states it is also used for sunscreen removal but I have not used it for that. I do love how it makes my sink feel after too much sun. Comes at a reasonable price, should last me a summer or two.
I have never tried this product before, but I was excited to give it a go. I use really thick white sunscreen when I surf, and it's often a pain in the bum to get off of my face.Surprisingly enough this balm takes all of the white cast off, and it's really easy to use. The tin is a decent size, and it's priced really well. This stuff is totally magic, and I will be keeping it in my bag so that I don't look like a ghost when I grab dinner after a day of surfing.I also appreciate the ingredients are very natural and my skin does not feel red or raw or inflamed after using this. 10/10
Not bad, mineral sunscreen is pretty much zinc ointment and it can get thick and pasty. This helps to clean it up, and smells good too. Says it will also help with make up. Well...maybe that cheap face paint for Halloween, that stuff is also thick and pasty. I wouldn't use it for daily make up removal. This is nice if you have experienced the "reef safe" sunscreen which is zinc ointment and leaves a film on you. I'd recommend this for anyone that uses this type of sunscreen.
This consistency reminds me of Mrs. Doubtfire, from that scene where she has that whipping cream on her face from the cream pie. I like that this sort of greases the natural sunblock off of you. I didn't know a product like this existed, but I'm thrilled to have found it. My husband suffers from sunblock getting stuck in his beard all summer long. This will allow him to be able to combat that issue successfully.
I coat my face in zinc when I surf. Works great against the blaring sun and sea glare but a total pain to remove. I always find little spots that I missed no matter how hard I try to get it all off. This stuff dissolves the zinc, no problem. All I have to do is slather this on, then wipe it all off with a washcloth. The coconut smell is a great bonus.
I found this instantly intriguing! I use zinc based sunscreen and having the residue not come off after washing makes my face get all broken out. So this is solid for that. However, I just so happened to have a bit of sunburn from the weekend and used it as a cooling, healing agent. It was great for that! It didn't make the sunburn hotter but instead made it feel cooler and hopefully will prevent any drying out.I don't think, as the directions state, that you need to wipe this off for every use case. In fact the moisturizing property is a great side bonus. And a little goes a LONG way in this case so even though the product is small in size, it has a lot of value for the investment.Overall, I love it and suggest this vegan healthy product for those who want natural, eco-conscious products.
This is a convenient product that works very well. When I'm at the beach I like to use a natural based zinc sunscreen that's very white so my problem is when i apply it before going out on the beach it leaves my hands a white mess that usually gets on the door handle, my clothes and other places. Well I now can get it off my hands! After the beach we like to go eat and this comes in handy getting the zinc sunscreen off our faces. And it works great for removing make up. It smells nice with a coconut scent. I love it's made with good quality natural ingredients and no animals were tested on ! Yay to No more white gross hands!
This sunscreen remover has been great. It comes in the little tin and is kind of a whipped consistency. You rub it on your face/body where you had the sunscreen and then rinse off with water. It is made with coconut oil and aloe so it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and clean afterwards. It is kind of like magic as my normal soap had a hard time removing my zinc sunscreen and this takes it right off. Highly recommend if you use sunscreen a lot. A little also goes a long ways so this should last quite a long time.
The cream goes on smooth and is soothing and moisturizing when used alone. When put over mineral sunscreen, the cream was able to remove the sunscreen really quick and neatly. It does have a coconut smell which I loved but it is not overpowering. I love that this company uses clean ingredients! It is great to remove make up. The size is nice and compact, perfect to throw in your purse or backup. Very good product!
This sunscreen remover is a great little find. The tin is compact and travel-friendly, with a screw-on lid that stays secure in a toiletries bag. It’s been a lifesaver after long pool days when regular cleansers just don’t cut it.The scent is mild and pleasant with a hint of coconut, and there’s no off-putting chemical smell. While the amount isn’t huge, it’s just right for vacation use and solves a common problem without taking up much space. A smart addition to any travel kit.
Confession: I didn't get this to remove sunscreen, though it will be handy for that.I have very sensitive skin that used to be oily and now is dry-ish. If I use my old cleansers, my skin is too tight and feels terrible. If I use cleansers for dry skin, I get breakouts and my face feels like there is a layer of sticky goo. Plus, most cleansers cause reactions, so I get those eruptions, too. Fussy face, right?Ordered this because it has very few ingredients, seems moisturizing, and has an emulsifier. Worth a try!Great news! Applied this and did a gentle massage, then wiped it off with a cool cloth (a little water, not much.) Although I got the prickle feeling like I was going to have a reaction, my skin never turned red, didn't itch, and didn't break out! It feels soft and smooth, not tacky, oily, or dry (the problems I've had with almost every other cleanser I've tried.) I may have found my new cleanser!I could see using this as a facial massage cream and then stepping into the shower for a good rinse as part of my daily routine.Note: a little goes a long way! You won't need much of this, even if you're using it to remove mineral based sunscreens.
This product is so intelligent and innovative! Sunscreen can be so tough to remove from facial hair and skin. Most cleansers do a poor job at removing all of the sunscreen leaving behind a filmy layer on skin. This sunscreen remover by Kook Off really does a fantastic job at cutting through the thickest sunscreen removing the heavy, filmy residue that can sometimes be left behind. Once this is rinsed off, skin is left feeling hydrated and soft. This is a creamy formulation and only takes a small amount to apply and massage into skin. This is a fantastic product in a twist top tin that can be thrown into duffle bags for easy transport.
I got totally fried after a long surf session under the blazing Maui sun—rookie move, I know. I was crispy, cranky, and convinced my beach trip was over… until Kook Off swooped in like a lifeguard for my skin! 🏄♀️☀️🔥This after-sun magic is packed with soothing natural ingredients—think aloe, coconut oil, and other tropical goodness that my scorched skin drank up like a piña colada. 🌱🍍From “ouch” to “ahhh” in minutes, it cooled me down and calmed the burn without any sticky, greasy mess. My hiney (and the rest of me) is forever grateful.Whether you’re a seasoned shredder or just kooked it on your first session, do your sunburned self a favor—Kook Off is a total game-changer. 🐚🌊🌺
This stuff works wonders. Feels great to get the mineral sunscreen out of my beard after a day of sailing. Usually it would take 2-3 showers and serious scrubbing with face wash to finally get that sticky/clay layer off. Now it comes off with one rinse. The light but delicious coconut smell makes it hard not to eat it straight out of the tin.
This stuff works miracles! My husband always complained about wearing sunscreen because it got stuck in his beard, but this stuff gets it off ( and out of his beard) really easily! We live in an area where there is a lot of tar on our beaches and the kook off melts it right off without having to use any harsh chemicals.Highly recommend!
